Breaking News: McCain not actually campaigning for president; putting country first instead

Amid a crowd (of mostly white men) in Minnesota, Sarah Palin stood in glory before banners declaring "Country First". Picking right up on the country first thing, Sarah endeared herself to the faithful by using it in a line describing how McCain came back from the political dead to win the nomination. She said...

"there is a time for politics and a time for leadership ... a time to campaign and a time to put our country first."

Really Sarah? If John McCain isn't campaigning for President right now what do you call it? A crusade perhaps? A task from God? Oh, wait, that's how she described the Iraq War but I guess God can multi-task.

And what exactly does it mean to "put your country first?" As best as I can tell, it means that unless you are a Republican who subscribes to war and fear mongering then you're not American. Get real.
